Sume price formula: list x 1.25 plus 5.5% fee, worked on six clips

How to predict a Sume bill: provider list price x 1.25 rounded up, then a 5.5% fee floored. Six video clips worked from list cost to hold, in micro-dollars.

A Sume charge is the provider's list price multiplied by 1.25 and rounded up to the next micro-dollar, plus a platform fee of 5.5% of that amount, rounded down. The sum is the amount reserved at submit and captured on success. You can reproduce any video price by hand, as the six clips below show.

The two steps

  • Sell price = ceil(list cost x 1.25), in micro-dollars (millionths of a dollar).
  • Fee = floor(sell price x 550 / 10,000). The hold is sell price plus fee.
  • Wan 3.0 and Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 list costs are per second; Seedance list cost is video tokens x a per-1,000-token rate.

Six clips, step by step

List rates are Wan 3.0 $0.05, $0.10 and $0.20 per second at 480p, 720p and 1080p, Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 $0.15 per second at 1080p, Seedance 2.0 fast $0.0112 per 1,000 tokens and Seedance 2.5 $0.0214. fal's Wan 3 page (read 2026-10-07) shows the same three Wan per-second rates.

Why micro-dollars

Rounding happens in millionths of a dollar, not cents. That is why some holds have six decimals. The usage summary post shows the same numbers as they appear in the ledger.

Checking your own

Take the provider's list price from its own page, multiply by 1.25, round up, add 5.5%, and compare with the amount your job shows under reserved in the usage ledger. Fees on monthly totals are in the fee post.
