SOP training video from a written procedure: one avatar clip a step
Turn a written SOP into step clips with a Sume avatar: 4-60 second limits, cost for a 12-step procedure on each tier, and how to fix one step.
Split a written procedure into one clip per step, render each with the same Sume avatar, and update a single clip when a step changes. A 12-step SOP at 20 seconds per step costs $44.16 on standard, $58.80 on plus and $132.00 on max, with no product image. Each step is its own POST /v1/avatar-1.0/talking-video job, so a changed step costs one re-render, not twelve. Limits are in the avatar video docs.
Why one clip per step
Sume accepts scripts estimated at 4-60 seconds, so a long procedure has to be split anyway. Splitting by step also gives you stable idempotency keys such as sop-receiving-step-03-v2, and a viewer can jump to the step they need. Joining the clips into one continuous video is a separate step.
Cost for a 12-step SOP
Twelve clips of 20 seconds.
| Quality | USD per second | One clip | 12 clips |
|---|---|---|---|
| standard | 0.184 | $3.68 | $44.16 |
| plus | 0.245 | $4.90 | $58.80 |
| max | 0.55 | $11.00 | $132.00 |
