Stepping away from a TikTok Shop LIVE: Pause LIVE, not a loop
TikTok Shop's page says to use Pause LIVE when you step away and bars AI or pre-recorded audio. Where a Sume clip belongs, and where it does not, around a LIVE.

The seller's temptation during a long stream is to fill a gap with a clip. The TikTok Shop requirements page says otherwise for LIVE: use the Pause LIVE feature when stepping away, which blurs the screen and pauses audio. It also says to engage through real-time verbal or sign language communication, and not to use "non-real-time verbal interaction such as AI-generated voices, audio recordings, or radio."
Split the jobs
| Job | Fit |
|---|---|
| Live pitch and answers to chat | Real time, by a person |
| Gap while you step away | Pause LIVE |
| Teaser clip posted before the LIVE | A normal posted video; check the same page |
| Recap clip cut from the LIVE after | A normal posted video |
Where Sume helps
Sume makes files, not streams. After a LIVE, video trim cuts a [start, end) range from one hosted clip into a new MP4, with a source limit of 1,800 s and an output limit of 900 s. That is enough for a recap of the best 60 seconds.
Do not
- Loop a prerecorded clip on the stream while you step away.
- Play a generated voice as the host.
- Overlay product page screenshots on your content, which the page also lists.
Check before posting
The page lists enforcement from violation points to account suspension. Re-read it before a campaign, since it carries an update date of September 17, 2026.
