Snapchat AR filter asset sizes: 945x2048 PNG, 720x1560 GIF
Snapchat's ad formats page lists AR filters as a 945x2048 PNG or a 720x1560 GIF of 1 to 3 seconds, and Lenses need a visible logo or brand name. Check previews.

Snapchat's ad formats page lists AR filter assets as a static PNG of 945x2048 or a GIF of 720x1560 lasting 1 to 3 seconds, and says Lenses need a visible logo or brand name. Sume does not build Lenses or filters. It can cut and frame the preview clip, and pull exact frames so you can confirm the logo is visible.
The AR numbers on the page
The page lists no file size limit or safe zones for these assets in the text I read.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| AR filter, static | PNG, 945x2048 |
| AR filter, animated | GIF, 720x1560, 1 to 3 seconds |
| Lenses | Visible logo or brand name required |
Cut a short preview clip
A 1 to 3 second preview is easy to over-run. Video trim accepts durations from 0.2 seconds, so duration: 3 cuts exactly that much from a longer screen recording. Sume outputs MP4, not GIF, so convert with your own tool for the GIF spec.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-trim \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: lens-preview-001" \
-d '{"video_url":"https://media.sume.com/artifacts/artf_demo/lens-demo.mp4","start":2,"duration":3,"audio":"drop"}'Check the logo is visible
Pull exact frames with video frames at the start, middle and end, and check the logo or brand name in each. If the effect covers the mark in the last frame, shorten the clip so it ends before that point.
Verify the dimensions against your own tool's export, since the page lists them as the target and the API does not convert to PNG or GIF.
