Main Street shop passport video for Small Business Saturday, $2.57
A main street association can make one 36-second Small Business Saturday (Nov 28, 2026) video from six shop photos: Wan 3.0 clips, voice and captions, $2.57.

A main street or business-improvement association can make one shared Small Business Saturday video by taking one photo from each of six member shops, animating each into a 6-second Wan 3.0 clip at 480p, and joining them with a voice-over and captions. On Sume the whole 36-second video is about $2.57. Small Business Saturday is the Saturday after U.S. Thanksgiving; in 2026 that is November 28, after Thanksgiving on November 26 (Wikipedia, read 2026-10-11).
Single-shop posts have been done to death. The association is the one party that can show the street as a street: six doors, one route, one reason to come on the same morning. It also solves a fairness problem, since every shop gets the same six seconds.
What goes into each of the six clips?
Ask each shop for one vertical or square photo of the door or a best-selling shelf, plus a one-line hook of up to eight words. Submit each photo as the first frame of a Wan 3.0 image-to-video job. The model is in the Sume catalog with image-to-video, 480p, 720p and 1080p, 9:16 among its ratios, and durations of 2 to 30 seconds.
Keep the prompts boring and literal: a slow push-in, a door opening, steam from a cup. Do not ask the model to invent signage or product names; put the shop name and the hook on screen with captions cues instead, so spelling is exact.
How is it priced?
Wan 3.0 480p bills $0.0625 per second at Sume's catalog rate, so a 6-second clip is $0.375 and six clips are $2.25. A 400-character voice-over reading the six shop names is $0.019 at $0.0475 per 1,000 characters. Timeline 1.0 charges $0.10 per output minute (the 36-second render counts one minute), and standalone captions with authored cues are a flat $0.20. The total is $2.569, which rounds to $2.57.
Draft at 480p. If the association wants a sharper version for the big screen at the town hall, only the six clip lines change: 720p is $0.125 a second.
| Line | Quantity | Rate | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wan 3.0 clips, 480p, 6 s each | 36 s | $0.0625 / s | $2.25 |
| Voice-over | 400 characters | $0.0475 / 1,000 | $0.019 |
| Timeline render (1 started minute) | 1 | $0.10 | $0.10 |
| Caption cues | 1 job | $0.20 | $0.20 |
| Total | $2.569 |
How do the shops stay in order and on time?
In Timeline 1.0 each slot declares a start on the spine, and the first slot must start at 0. With six 6-second slots the starts are 0, 6, 12, 18, 24 and 30, and the audio duration is 36. Use the unbilled plan endpoint to confirm six segments before you pay for the render.
Add a short fade between slots with the fade transition. Each transition must be under a second and no more than half the shorter neighbor, so 0.25 seconds is safe.
What should the voice-over say?
Say the date and the street once at the start (Saturday, November 28) and the six names in order. Skip claims about discounts unless every shop has agreed to them in writing. After posting, reuse the same six photos for next year by regenerating only the clips that changed.
Because the video is one file, the association can post it from its own account and tag the shops, rather than asking six owners to repost.
