A chocolatier can pre-sell St. Nicholas Day shoe boxes with a 12-second video: two 6-second Wan 3.0 clips at 480p, a 300-character voice-over, a Timeline render and one caption job with the pickup date and price. On Sume that costs about $1.06. Saint Nicholas Day is December 6, and in the Netherlands the Sinterklaas celebration is on December 5, with children setting out shoes beforehand (Wikipedia, read 2026-10-11). In 2026 December 5 is a Saturday and December 6 a Sunday.

Most December content goes straight to Christmas. St. Nicholas is earlier and smaller: a fill-the-shoe gift of sweets that families in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and parts of central Europe treat as its own date. A shop in a neighborhood with those families can show it knows the difference.

What does the video show?

Two scenes. First, a child-sized shoe on a doorstep or hearth, and chocolate appearing in it, shot from a photo of your actual box. Second, the box lid closing, with the pickup day on screen. Keep the wording to what the source supports: the custom of leaving a shoe, found with a small gift in the morning.

The shoes are a custom, not a claim about your product, so describe your product plainly: what is in the box, how many pieces, the price, the pickup day.

Cost on Sume

Two Wan 3.0 clips at 480p, 6 seconds each, are 12 seconds at $0.0625 a second, or $0.75. A 300-character voice-over is $0.01425 at $0.0475 per 1,000. Timeline 1.0 is $0.10 for the 12-second render, and captions with authored cues are a flat $0.20. The total is $1.06425, shown as $1.06. A second text version, say Dutch card text over the same clips and voice, needs its own $0.10 render and $0.20 caption job, which brings the pair to $1.36425.

One version is $1.06; two text versions that share the clips and voice are $1.36. Only use the Dutch voice if the voice you pick supports it; check the voice catalog first.

When should the pre-order close?

Saturday, December 5 is the eve, so most shoppers will want the box in hand by Friday, December 4. Set a pre-order close a week before and say it on the card. Check that the voice and the caption agree on the date before you pay for the render.

After the date, keep the clips: the same shoe-box scene works for a Christmas stocking box if you change the cue text.
