A 6-second clip: Vidu Q4 from $0.27 to $2.34, Sume rows $0.45 to $8.53
Cost of one 6-second AI video clip at Vidu Q4 Preview's 540P and 4K rates and at seven Sume model and resolution pairs, with the arithmetic shown.

One clip, every rate
A 6-second clip is a common unit for ads and social cuts. At Vidu Q4 Preview's published endpoints it costs 6 x $0.045 = $0.27 at 540P and 6 x $0.39 = $2.34 at 4K, before any discount. On Sume the same length costs between $0.45 and $8.53 depending on the row. Sume does not list Vidu, so the Sume rows are substitutes. The Vidu release states only the 540P and 4K endpoints; the middle tiers are not in it, so they are left out here.
The table
Sume rates are the provider list times 1.25. Every length shown is inside the model's valid range (Omni 3-10 s, Wan 3.0 2-30 s, MiniMax H3 Max 5-15 s, Seedance 2.0 4-15 s, Seedance 2.5 4-30 s).
| Row | Arithmetic | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Vidu Q4 Preview, 540P (text-to-video) | 6 x $0.045 | $0.27 |
| Vidu Q4 Preview, 540P image/reference-to-video, 30% off | 6 x $0.0315 | $0.189 |
| Vidu Q4 Preview, 4K | 6 x $0.39 | $2.34 |
| Vidu Q4 Preview, 4K image/reference-to-video, 30% off | 6 x $0.273 | $1.638 |
| Sume gemini-omni-flash-1.1, 720p | 6 x $0.125 | $0.75 |
| Sume gemini-omni-flash-1.1, 4K | 6 x $0.375 | $2.25 |
| Sume wan-3.0, 720p | 6 x $0.125 | $0.75 |
| Sume wan-3.0, 1080p | 6 x $0.25 | $1.50 |
| Sume minimax-h3-max, 768p | 6 x $0.10 | $0.60 |
| Sume seedance-2, 720p | 6 x $0.378 | $2.268 |
| Sume seedance-2.5, 1080p | 6 x $1.4216 | $8.5293 |
What the spread tells you
Within Sume, the same 6 seconds ranges from $0.75 (Omni or Wan at 720p, 6 x $0.125) to $8.53 (Seedance 2.5 at 1080p, 6 x $1.42155). That is about an 11x gap, so the model choice moves the bill more than the length does.
Vidu's 4K rate of $0.39 is close to Omni's 4K rate of $0.375, but Omni is capped at 10 seconds and 16:9 or 9:16. Vidu's 540P is the cheapest cell in the grid, and its discounted 4K image-to-video rate of $0.273 undercuts every Sume 4K option.
Using the table
Pick the resolution your delivery channel needs first, then read down the column. If you deliver 1080p to a social feed, the nearest rows are Wan 3.0 at $1.50 per 6 seconds and Omni at $1.125. The 4K comparison goes further on the top tier. Check GET /v1/video-router/models in the Video Router docs for current capabilities before you commit a batch.
What the numbers leave out
Three things are not in the table. First, Vidu's ladder between 540P and 4K is not stated in the release, so any 720P or 1080P Vidu price you see elsewhere is not covered here. Second, failed or rejected jobs: the table assumes every clip is kept and counts no failed jobs. Third, a 6-second clip with sound is a different product from a silent one on some rows, so confirm the audio behavior of the row you choose before comparing totals.
