A vertical 9:16 Seedance 2.5 clip costs the same as a 16:9 one on Sume: $2.889 for 5 seconds at 720p. Ultra-wide 21:9 is $2.903 and 4:3 or 3:4 is $2.907, a difference under 1 percent. Price follows output pixels, and each ratio has a fixed pixel size that lands close to the same area.

Why the price is flat

fal's Seedance 2.5 page lists these output sizes: 480p at 992x432 (21:9), 864x496 (16:9), 752x560 (4:3), 640x640 (1:1), 560x752 (3:4), 496x864 (9:16); and 720p at 1470x630, 1280x720, 1112x834, 960x960, 834x1112 and 720x1280. Tokens are width x height x seconds x 24 / 1024, so the cost depends on area, not shape.

What it means for a feed ad

Choose the ratio for the placement, not the price. Resolution is the real lever: see 480p vs 720p vs 1080p and the 720p length table. Sume lists aspect ratios 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16 plus auto/adaptive for Seedance 2.5 in its Video Router docs.
