Salon gift certificate holiday promo: card art and clip, $0.90
Gift certificate promo for a salon: Ideogram 4.5 card art ($0.075), a 5-second Wan 3.0 720p clip ($0.625) and terms as caption cues ($0.20): $0.90.

A salon, studio or clinic can promote holiday gift certificates with three jobs: card art on ideogram/ideogram-v4.5 at medium quality ($0.075), a 5-second Wan 3.0 clip at 720p that opens on that card ($0.625), and one caption job with cues for the amounts and terms ($0.20). Total on Sume: $0.90 for a silent, ready-to-post promo.
Why a service business needs a different clip?
A product shop shows the product. A service business sells time, so the gift is an abstract voucher. The card art is the product here: an image that looks like something you could wrap. The clip then shows the card, with a small motion like sparkle or a slow tilt, and your place in the background.
Use Ideogram for the card because the card carries a few words of text. The Image API docs (read 2026-10-11) list ideogram/ideogram-v4.5 among the supported model ids. Keep the in-image text to the shop name and the words Gift Certificate; put everything else in cues so it is exact.
How do I animate the card and add terms?
Send the card as the first_frame in frame_images on a Wan 3.0 job, per the video docs (read 2026-10-11). Then add the text with a caption job. The captions docs (read 2026-10-11) say silent clips require cues with text, start and end.
- 0 to 2 s: Holiday gift certificates.
- 2 to 4 s: $50, $100 or a full treatment.
- 4 to 5 s: Valid 12 months. Book at the front desk.
- Use only the amounts and expiry that you actually honor, and check what rules apply to gift certificates where you operate before you print an expiry.
What does it cost, and where can I save?
Ideogram 4.5 is priced by quality on Sume: the medium tier is $0.075 per image. Wan 3.0 is $0.125 a second at 720p and $0.0625 a second at 480p. The caption job is a flat $0.20. Rates are from the Sume rate tables read 2026-10-11; the live figures are in GET /v1/catalog.
| Step | Job | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Card art | Ideogram 4.5, medium | $0.075 |
| Animate | Wan 3.0, 720p, 5 s | $0.625 |
| Terms | Video captions with cues | $0.20 |
| Total | $0.90 | |
| Cheaper variant | Wan 3.0, 480p, 5 s | $0.5875 |
How do I make more than one amount?
Generate the card once per amount only if the amount appears in the image. If amounts live in cues, you only rerun the caption job at $0.20 per version on the same clean clip. Three amounts then cost $0.075 + $0.625 + 3 x $0.20 = $1.30, rather than three full renders. Keep one rule in mind for all of them: whatever the cue says is the promise. If you print an amount, honor it; if you print a booking rule, such as call ahead or book online, make sure the front desk knows the same rule. A voucher promo works best when the person who walks in with it is greeted as if the staff had read the ad. Post the clip in early December and again the week before Christmas, when last-minute buyers look for something that needs no shipping.
