Runway WAN3 vs WAN3 Prime: Prime is 36 to 40% more; Sume lists one Wan
Runway prices WAN3 at 5, 10, 20 credits per second and WAN3 Prime at 6.8, 14, 28: 36% to 40% more. Sume lists one wan-3.0, at $0.0625, $0.125, $0.25.

Runway's API lists two Wan models. WAN3 costs 5, 10 and 20 credits per second at 480p, 720p and 1080p. WAN3 Prime costs 6.8, 14 and 28 credits per second, which is 36% more at 480p and 40% more at 720p and 1080p. Sume lists one model, wan-3.0, at $0.0625, $0.125 and $0.25 per second, and it has no Prime id.
Runway's two Wan rows
Runway credits are from the Runway API pricing guide, at $0.01 per credit. The increase column is my arithmetic: 6.8 / 5 = 1.36, 14 / 10 = 1.40, and 28 / 20 = 1.40.
| Resolution | WAN3 credits | WAN3 Prime credits | WAN3 per second | Prime per second | Prime premium |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | 5 | 6.8 | $0.05 | $0.068 | +36% |
| 720p | 10 | 14 | $0.10 | $0.14 | +40% |
| 1080p | 20 | 28 | $0.20 | $0.28 | +40% |
Runway and Sume side by side, 10 seconds
Sume's wan-3.0 is priced from a fal list of $0.05, $0.10 and $0.20 per second (fal 2026-08-24), times 1.25. For a 10 second clip, the three prices are as below.
| Resolution | Runway WAN3 | Runway WAN3 Prime | Sume wan-3.0 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | $0.50 | $0.68 | $0.625 |
| 720p | $1.00 | $1.40 | $1.25 |
| 1080p | $2.00 | $2.80 | $2.50 |
What the comparison does not say
The Sume rate sits between Runway's two rows at every tier. I do not claim that Sume's wan-3.0 is the same model as either Runway row, and Sume's docs do not say that it matches a Prime tier. The Alibaba Model Studio page that I read lists only wan3.0-video, with no Prime variant, so a Prime tier is a Runway label and not a documented Alibaba one.
Sume's wan-3.0 takes 2 to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p and 1080p, with text, image plus end frame, and reference inputs, and audio.
Decision
Choose on the rate and the quality you see in your own test, not on the name. If you must have Runway's Prime row, use Runway. If you want the single Wan row at one rate, Sume's wan-3.0 is the one on offer.
