On Runway's developer pricing, Gen-4 Turbo costs 5 credits per second and Gen-4.5 costs 12, and one credit is $0.01 (Runway pricing, read 2026-10-09). A 10-second Gen-4.5 clip is therefore 120 credits, or $1.20, and a Gen-4 Turbo clip of the same length is $0.50. Gen-4.5 clips run 2 to 10 seconds according to Runway's changelog.

What does each Runway model cost per clip?

The Omni row is also from the Runway pricing page; the changelog says that model outputs 720p and runs 3 to 10 seconds (read 2026-10-09).

Gemini Omni Flash (text or image)10$0.50$1.00

How do Sume's rates line up?

Sume's Omni row, gemini-omni-flash-1.1, bills the provider list times 1.25 per output second, with four resolutions. Sume's catalog does not list Runway models (catalog read 2026-10-09), so the comparison is on price and length, not a swap.

Omni on Sume, 10 seconds
ResolutionPer second10 seconds
360p$0.0375$0.375
720p$0.125$1.25
1080p$0.1875$1.875
4K$0.375$3.75

What decides it?

Pick on the shot. Both tools bill by the second, so a failed take on either is the cost to plan for, not only the headline rate.

  • Draft volume: Gen-4 Turbo at $0.05 a second, or Omni 360p at $0.0375 a second on Sume, are the cheap ends.
  • Length: Runway Gen-4.5 stops at 10 seconds; Sume's Wan 3.0 row accepts 2 to 30.
  • Sound: check each model's page before you assume audio is included.
