A 26-second Seedance 2.5 clip: $6.99 at 480p, $36.96 at 1080p on Sume
Seedance 2.5 accepts 4 to 30 whole seconds. A 26-second clip costs $6.99 at 480p, $15.02 at 720p and $36.96 at 1080p on Sume, with the arithmetic shown.

A 26-second Seedance 2.5 clip on Sume costs $6.99 at 480p, $15.02 at 720p and $36.96 at 1080p. Seedance 2.5 accepts any whole duration from 4 to 30 seconds, so 26 is valid in a single job, and the price is linear in the number of seconds. Sume bills the provider list price times 1.25 and reserves that amount at submit; the figure in usage.cost on the poll response is the billable amount.
The arithmetic
Each figure below is the per-second Sume rate multiplied by 26, rounded half up to the cent for display. The unrounded product is shown so you can check it.
| Resolution | Sume rate per second | 26 s product | 4 s floor | 30 s ceiling |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | $0.268677 | $6.985602 = $6.99 | $1.07 | $8.06 |
| 720p | $0.5778 | $15.0228 = $15.02 | $2.31 | $17.33 |
| 1080p | $1.42155 | $36.9603 = $36.96 | $5.69 | $42.65 |
What the 4 to 30 second window means for planning
The window matters because Seedance 2.0 stops at 15 seconds. If a scene needs 26 seconds of continuous action, a Seedance 2.0 row cannot take it in one request, while Seedance 2.5 can. The trade is price per second: 720p on Seedance 2.5 is $0.5778 against $0.378 on Seedance 2.0.
Sume does not cut the clip for you when you ask for a length outside the window. Check the allowed durations first with GET /v1/videos/models, which returns supported_durations for each model, and send duration as an integer.
- Duration is an integer number of seconds; the model list shows 4 through 30 for
seedance-2.5. - Resolution options are 480p, 720p and 1080p. Pick the cheapest one that survives your delivery platform.
- The reserve at submit equals the price above, so a 26-second 1080p request needs at least that much workspace balance.
Submitting it
The request below uses the OpenRouter-compatible endpoint. Replace the prompt with your own shot description; motion, camera and lighting details help on longer clips.
curl -X POST "https://api.sume.com/v1/videos" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "seedance-2.5",
"prompt": "A slow dolly along a market street at dusk, steam rising from stalls",
"duration": 26,
"resolution": "480p",
"aspect_ratio": "16:9"
}'A cheaper way to find out if the shot works
Run the same prompt at 480p first. At 26 seconds that is $6.99, against $36.96 for the 1080p version, so a failed prompt costs about a fifth as much. Once the motion is right, rerun at the higher tier. Poll GET /v1/videos/{jobId} until the status is completed, then download from unsigned_urls[0].
Budget and balance
Because the full price is reserved at submit, a 26-second 1080p job needs $36.96 free in the workspace balance, while the 480p draft needs $6.99. If the balance is short, top up before you submit rather than retrying.
The docs describe the finished amount in usage.cost, and failed jobs are refunded before capture. That means the table is a ceiling for one successful clip, and a failed attempt does not stay on the bill. Still, keep a record of each job id and its status, because a long clip that completes with an unusable result is billed like any other.
