Runway Gen-4.5 at $0.12 a second: nearest Sume rows by capability
Runway's API lists Gen-4.5 at $0.12 per second; Sume has no Gen-4.5 row. These Sume rows take text and image input, with 8-second prices to compare.

Sume does not carry Runway Gen-4.5, so a job that calls gen4.5 has to move to a different family: the nearest Sume rows with both text-to-video and image-to-video are Wan 3.0, Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 and Kling Video v3 Pro. Runway's models page lists Gen-4.5 as its top text-to-video and image-to-video option at $0.12 per second (Runway API models, read 2026-10-10).
A capability match is not a quality match. The comparison below is about inputs, limits and price, which you can verify in each catalog.
What Runway lists
The same page shows Gen-4 Turbo at $0.05 per second, Aleph 2.0 (in-context editing with keyframe control) at $0.28, and Seedance 2.5 (id seedance2_5, up to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p and 1080p) starting at $0.20. It also mentions partner models and model routers. Runway's page does not give Gen-4.5 durations or resolutions in the text we read, so this post does not compare those.
The nearest Sume rows
Among Sume's rows, these accept both a text prompt and a start image:
| Row | Per second | 8 seconds | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Runway Gen-4.5 | $0.12 | $0.96 | See Runway docs |
| Wan 3.0, 720p | $0.125 | $1.00 | 2 to 30 s; 480p, 720p, 1080p |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, 720p | $0.125 | $1.00 | 3 to 10 s; 16:9, 9:16 |
| Kling Video v3 Pro, audio off | $0.14 | $1.12 | 4 to 15 s; 1080p only |
| Kling Video v3 Pro, audio on | $0.21 | $1.68 | Same |
| Veo 3.1 Fast, audio on | $0.125 | $1.00 | 4, 6 or 8 s; text only |
What to watch in a port
Pricing is close in dollars, but the inputs are not interchangeable:
- Veo rows are text-only on Sume, so they cannot replace an image-to-video Gen-4.5 call.
- Kling renders 1080p only; a 720p request is accepted and still renders 1080p.
- Omni Flash is capped at 10 seconds and 16:9 or 9:16.
- Wan 3.0 has the widest range (2 to 30 seconds) and takes references.
Routing around the gap
If you cannot choose, send model: "sume/auto" to POST /v1/videos; Sume picks the family and the poll reports sume/auto. It is limited to 3 to 10 second clips at 16:9 or 9:16. If you do care which model runs, pin the id and record it with each clip, because price and look differ by row.
