Seedance 2.5 on Runway and on Sume: same 30 s, different pricing unit
Runway lists Seedance 2.5 up to 30 seconds from $0.20 per second. Sume bills tokens: about $2.69, $5.78 or $14.22 for 10 s at 480p, 720p, 1080p.

Runway and Sume both offer Seedance 2.5 at up to 30 seconds and 480p, 720p or 1080p, but they price it differently: Runway quotes per second starting at $0.20, while Sume bills video tokens, which works out to roughly $0.27, $0.58 and $1.42 per second at 480p, 720p and 1080p for 16:9 output. Runway's models page lists seedance2_5 as cinematic video up to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p and 1080p, starting at $0.20 per second, with draft mode (Runway API models, read 2026-10-10).
The "starting at" figure is Runway's lowest tier, so compare it with Sume's 480p rate, not with 1080p.
How Sume prices Seedance 2.5
Sume's catalog stores a list rate of $0.0214 per 1,000 video tokens for Seedance 2.5, and $0.0234 for 1080p. Token count depends on resolution and duration, and the house margin of 1.25 applies. The repo's estimator for a 16:9 clip with no reference video gives these provider-list amounts for 10 seconds, which we multiplied by 1.25.
| Resolution | Tokens | List | Billed | Per second billed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | 100,440 | $2.15 | $2.69 | $0.269 |
| 720p | 216,000 | $4.62 | $5.78 | $0.578 |
| 1080p | 486,000 | $11.37 | $14.22 | $1.422 |
| Runway (starting at) | n/a | $2.00 at $0.20/s | n/a | $0.20 list |
Other differences
Sume's row has no draft flag: a draft is a 480p request, which is also the lowest-priced Seedance 2.5 setting. It accepts eight aspect-ratio values including auto and adaptive, first and last frames, and image, video and audio references. Reference video adds an assumed 15 seconds of input and a 0.6 price multiplier in the estimator, so quote reference jobs from the live reserve rather than from the table.
Picking between them
If you already hold a Runway account and credits, there is no reason to move for price alone. On Sume, choose Seedance 2.5 when you want one balance and one job shape across many models, or when you need the same 30-second ceiling at a 480p draft price near $0.27 per second.
- 30-second shot at 480p on Sume: about $8.06 billed (30 x $0.2687).
- 30-second shot at 720p: about $17.33.
- Cheaper long-form alternative: Wan 3.0 at 480p is $0.0625 per second, so 30 seconds is $1.875.
