What key do I use?
Sume calls use a Sume API key sent as Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY, as in the docs' curl examples. It is Sume's key, not a Google one, and the wallet behind it pays for generations. Google's own API is a separate account with its own billing, which is where the $0.034 Lite figure applies.
How do I budget a batch before I run it?
Fetch the endpoint record for the id you plan to use and multiply its cost_usd by the number of images. Run one image first and read usage.cost on the response to confirm the figure matches your estimate.
If you name no model, sume/auto lets Sume pick, and the response keeps sume/auto as the model, so per-model budgeting needs a pinned id.
Does a Nano Banana 3 key exist anywhere?
Nothing I read offers one. Be wary of a page selling a Nano Banana 3 key or credits: a model that Google's own posts do not name, and that Sume's catalog does not list, has no price to check them against. Verify any claim against the Google posts and against GET /v1/images/models, and never paste a key into a page or chat that asks for it.
