Nano Banana 2.1 price: $0.0336 at 1K, $0.0504 at 2K, $0.113 at 4K
Google lists Nano Banana 2.1 at $0.0336 per 1K image, $0.0504 at 2K and $0.113 at 4K: half of Nano Banana 2 at 1K and 2K, a quarter off at 4K. The token math.

On Google's pricing page, Nano Banana 2.1 costs $0.0336 for a 1K image, $0.0504 for 2K and $0.113 for 4K on the paid Standard tier. That is half the price of Nano Banana 2 at 1K and 2K, and 25% less at 4K. There is no free tier for the model.
Where the numbers come from
Google bills image output as tokens at $30 per 1M, and each size uses a fixed token count: 1,120 tokens at 1K, 1,680 at 2K and 3,780 at 4K. Nano Banana 2 charged $60 per 1M, but its 4K image used 2,520 tokens. Because the new model spends more tokens on a 4K frame, the 4K price falls less than the others.
| Size | Tokens (2.1) | Nano Banana 2.1 | Nano Banana 2 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.5K (512px) | not offered | not offered | $0.045 (747 tokens) | n/a |
| 1K | 1,120 | $0.0336 | $0.067 | -50% |
| 2K | 1,680 | $0.0504 | $0.101 | -50% |
| 4K | 3,780 | $0.113 | $0.151 | -25% |
What is not in those numbers
Input and text output are billed separately. Nano Banana 2.1 input is $1.50 per 1M tokens (text, image, video) against $0.50 for Nano Banana 2, and text and thinking output is $7.50 per 1M against $3. For a prompt-only call the image dominates, so the table above is close to your real cost. For edits with many references, check the input line.
Google Search grounding is billed on top once you pass the free monthly allowance.
What a Sume user pays
Sume does not resell Google's price: it lists its own per-image price for each model and resolution, set above Google's direct rates. What you get is one POST /v1/images call, a hosted URL and a job record, with no Google account to manage. See the linked Sume price post for the per-size figures.
Read the live price for your key from GET /v1/images/models/{id}/endpoints before you budget a batch.
