MiniMax H3 Max: fal $0.05 a second vs Sume $0.0625, no Turbo on Sume
fal lists H3 Max at $0.05 a second and H3 Max Turbo at $0.025. Sume bills H3 Max at list times 1.25, $0.0625 at its lowest tier, with no Turbo row.

fal's pricing page lists H3 Max (reference, image or text to video) at $0.05 a second and H3 Max Turbo at $0.025. Sume's Video Router bills minimax-h3-max at list times 1.25 with a documented list of $0.05, $0.08 and $0.16 a second, so the lowest tier is $0.0625 a second, $0.10 at 768p and $0.20 at 1080p per the tier order in the docs. A 10-second clip at the lowest tier is $0.50 on fal and $0.625 on Sume before cent rounding. Read 2026-10-03.
Sume's Video Router catalog does not list a Turbo row, so the cheaper $0.025 option is not available through Sume.
The rates
The Video Router docs list H3 Max at three tiers by resolution: native 480p, native 768p, and a latent refinement to 1080p, with a list of $0.05, $0.08 and $0.16 a second per fal as of 2026-09-08 in the docs. The fal page I read lists a single $0.05 a second figure and a note that resolution, duration and quality may affect the final cost, so I read the $0.05 as the base tier, not as a flat rate.
| Item | fal list per second | Sume list per second | Sume billed per second (x 1.25) | 10 seconds on Sume (unrounded) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| H3 Max, lowest tier | $0.05 | $0.05 | $0.0625 | $0.625 |
| H3 Max, second tier | not on the page I read | $0.08 | $0.10 | $1.00 |
| H3 Max, top tier | not on the page I read | $0.16 | $0.20 | $2.00 |
| H3 Max Turbo | $0.03 | not in catalog | n/a | n/a |
What the 25 percent buys
At the lowest tier the Sume premium over fal is $0.0125 a second, or $0.125 on a 10-second clip. In return you get one wallet, one job API and one status path across models, and the router can switch a model without changing the integration. If you only run H3 Max and already hold a fal account, fal is cheaper at the lowest tier.
A Turbo-class price is a different decision. At fal's $0.025, a 10-second clip is $0.250, half the cost of H3 Max at fal's lowest tier. If cost matters more than the extra quality, that gap is the reason to go direct.
Other rows on the fal page
The same fal page lists Kling Video v2.5 Turbo Pro at $0.07 a second, Kling Video v3 Pro (image or text) at $0.14, and Seedance 2 reference or image to video at $0.014 per 1,000 tokens. The token unit is the hard one to budget: it depends on clip size and length, and the page does not convert it to seconds, so I have not.
Limits
Run one job at each place and compare the invoice line, not the page.
- Docs list tiers by Sume's own resolution names; fal's page does not map its $0.05 to a resolution.
- Billed amounts on Sume round up to the cent.
- fal states that settings may change the final cost.
