Microsoft requires one screenshot per device family and recommends 5-8 high-quality ones for each supported device type. A Store logo is mandatory: 1:1 box art is required and 2:3 poster art is recommended. Both ratios are in Sume's image aspect list, so you can request them directly.

Microsoft's page was updated 2026-08-24; Sume request options are from the image docs. Both read 2026-10-01.

How many screenshots does the Store want?

The page lists required 1, recommended 4+, maximum 10, and its FAQ recommends 5-8 per device type (PC, tablet, Xbox and so on). It says screenshots should show key features and UI, different user scenarios, and be localized when possible.

Can I generate the two logo ratios?

Yes for the ratios. The docs list normalized aspect_ratio values including 1:1 and 2:3, so request aspect_ratio: "1:1" for box art and "2:3" for the poster. Microsoft's excerpt gives ratios here, not pixel sizes, so check the Learn page for any size you must meet.

If you want custom pixels with ChatGPT Image 2.5, edges must be multiples of 16, with a max edge of 3840, aspect at most 3:1, and 655,360–8,294,400 pixels.

Should screenshots be generated?

Microsoft's guidance is that screenshots show your app's features and UI. A generated image cannot show your real interface, so capture them from the app and use generation for the logo and promotional art. Compare App Store screenshot sizes if you ship on more than one store.

Which file format should I export?

output_format accepts png, jpeg, webp or svg. Pick png for logos with flat color. The Store page asks for logos at multiple resolutions where possible; regenerate or export each size from the same source rather than stretching one small file.
