A Pinterest Collections ad is one large hero creative followed by three smaller secondary creatives in the feed. Tapping it opens a fullscreen view with the hero and up to 24 secondary creatives. GIFs are not supported. With Sume's four images per job, a full set of 24 secondaries is six image jobs.

Counts are from Pinterest's collections ad help page, read 2026-10-01.

What are the limits?

Collections ad limits from Pinterest's help page, read 2026-10-01.

How many jobs for 24 secondaries?

num_images accepts 1 to 4, so 24 images is six jobs of four, run as separate requests. Split the product list into six groups and give each job one prompt. The manual flow also says to add three or more secondary Pins or products, so the first three matter most: they are the ones people see before tapping.

See batch image generation concurrency limits before launching all six at once.

Can the hero be a video?

Yes, the hero can be an image or a video. Sume's video docs list 9:16, 1:1, 16:9 and others for aspect_ratio. Match the ratio to Pinterest's current Pin or video specs before rendering.

Can I pull secondary creatives from the hero clip?

Yes, as stills. Sume's video frames route takes 1 to 24 explicit times in at[], each at or after 0 and before the clip duration, which lines up with the 24-secondary limit. Review each still for text and framing before using it as a product card. See also extract video frames API.
