Micro-drama lead: Avatar 1.0 or Seedance 2.5? Pick by dialogue
Pick Sume Avatar 1.0 for talking to camera and Seedance 2.5 for a lead who moves through places. Cost per minute: $14.70 against $34.67.
Pick Sume Avatar 1.0 when most of a scene is the lead talking to camera, and Seedance 2.5 when the lead has to move through places. At the plus tier an avatar minute is $14.70, and a Seedance minute at 720p and 9:16 is $34.67. Many episodes use both, and Metricool's reporting describes micro-dramas as gaining traction, so the choice repeats every episode.
Both support vertical output. The difference is what each can show.

Choose Avatar 1.0 for
Direct address, confessions, voice-led exposition and phone-call scenes. The avatar is stored under a handle, so the same person returns in each episode. Only one resolved avatar is supported per final video, and the background must resolve to one shared scene.
Choose Seedance 2.5 for
Movement, locations, objects and reaction shots: a chase, a door opening, a hand on a banister. It takes first and last frames, so you can chain shots. The lead is held by reference images and you must check each shot, since a new render can differ.
A split that works
Use the avatar for talking beats and Seedance for cutaways of 4 to 10 seconds. Three minutes of avatar (plus) at $44.10 and one minute of Seedance at $34.67 is $78.77 for a 4 minute episode, plus $0.40 to join with Timeline 1.0. Plan the cuts in a script that marks which lines are spoken to camera.
Sume does not write the script or judge which choice reads better. Render one scene both ways if you are unsure; at 10 seconds the test costs $2.45 for the avatar and $5.78 for Seedance.
