Meta Muse for small business: approval before spend vs Sume MCP
Meta's Muse for small business asks approval before publishing, sending or spending. Sume's MCP uses an idempotency key, which is not human approval.

Meta's Muse for small business, announced September 29, 2026, is a personal AI agent that asks for your approval before it publishes, sends or spends (read 2026-10-02). Sume's hosted MCP works differently: it exposes media tools to your own agent, and its docs state that idempotency_key is for deduplication, not human approval.
What Meta says
The post says Muse for small business launches in the US and Canada, connects to more than 20 tools including Canva, Figma, Shopify, Facebook and Instagram business accounts, and has a free tier with paid plans for more features (read 2026-10-02). Use cases include ad and content performance analysis with draft campaigns.

What Sume's MCP gates do
Under OAuth, hosted MCP shows read-only tools by default; write and paid tools need mcp:write or an API key. Paid calls need an idempotency_key, and the docs add that spend is handled by wallet and admission, with no separate paid scope (MCP tools and gates).
dry_run=truepreviews cost without submitting.max_spend_usdcaps spend, but only if you send it.- Nothing in the docs adds a human approval step for each call.
What this means for you
If you want a person to approve every spend, put that step in your own agent or workflow, for example by running a dry_run first and asking before the real call. Sume does not draft Meta campaigns or post to your pages, so the agent side stays with Meta or your own tool. For the creative side, see Muse Image and Sume's image catalog.
