Kling credit plans vs a USD balance for video on Sume

Kling sells credit plans from Free to Ultra. Sume has no Kling text-to-video id in its docs and bills each video job in USD from a workspace balance.

Luma's Kling pricing guide lists five plans, from a Free tier with 66 daily credits to Ultra at a $127.99 introductory price ($159.99 regular) for 26,000 credits. Sume's docs do not list a Kling text-to-video model id. Video on Sume is billed per job in USD from a workspace balance, so you compare a plan's credits against a receipt, not a rate card.

What Sume has for Kling

The only Kling surface in Sume's docs is kling-motion-control_create, a paid MCP tool listed beside image_upscale_create, rmbg_create and video_upscale_create. The Video 1.0 docs also note that the old routing_preset values, including kling, are deprecated and ignored; all of them use Auto.

How Sume bills video

Video jobs reserve from a workspace USD balance on submit at provider list price times 1.25, and the poll response reports usage.cost as the Sume billable amount. Concurrency is tied to your plan and is not bought with top-ups.

Browse what is available with GET /v1/videos/models. Each model lists supported_resolutions, supported_aspect_ratios, supported_durations and pricing_skus, so you can check limits before submitting.

Comparing fairly

Credits and dollars do not convert one to one, because credit cost per clip depends on the model, length and resolution you pick in Kling's app. To compare, render the same shot on both and put the receipt next to the credits it consumed. For Sume, sum usage.cost across a batch.

  • Use a fixed prompt, duration and aspect ratio on both sides.
  • Record failed or retried jobs on both sides.
  • Compare cost per usable clip, not cost per attempt.
