Budget for 500 vertical AI video ads a month: $440 to $1,890
500 ten-second vertical clips cost $439 to $1,890 on Sume by Seedance id and resolution; Runway's credit prices give $800 and $1,800 for two of them.

Five hundred 10-second 9:16 ad clips cost $439 on Sume's cheapest option (seedance-2-mini at 480p) and $1,890 on seedance-2 at 720p, before the 5.5% agent fee that applies by default. On Runway's page, seedance2_mini at 720p is 16 credits a second and seedance2 at 720p is 36, which at $0.01 a credit is $800 and $1,800 for 500 clips.
Runway figures are from its pricing page, read 2026-10-01. Sume figures are the reserve estimates the API uses at submit, from the video docs and the pricing code; 9:16 estimates for these ids match 16:9.
What does one 10-second vertical clip cost?
Per clip, then times 500. Tier choice moves the total more than anything else you control.
| Option | Per clip | 500 clips |
|---|---|---|
Sume seedance-2-mini, 480p | $0.88 | $439 |
Sume seedance-2-fast, 480p | $1.41 | $703 |
Sume seedance-2, 480p | $1.76 | $879 |
Sume seedance-2-mini, 720p | $1.89 | $945 |
Sume seedance-2-fast, 720p | $3.02 | $1,512 |
Sume seedance-2, 720p | $3.78 | $1,890 |
Runway seedance2_mini, 720p | $1.60 | $800 |
Runway seedance2, 720p | $3.60 | $1,800 |
What else belongs in the monthly budget?
Generation is not the whole ad. Add these Sume items for the clips you keep, before the agent fee:
- Timeline join, trim or sound: $0.10 per output minute, so $50 for 500 renders of up to 60 seconds.
- Standalone captions: $0.20 per job for videos up to 60 seconds, so $100 for 500.
- Rerolls: the clips you throw away are billed when they complete. If you keep 1 in 3, multiply the generation line by 3.
How do I keep the budget from drifting?
Draft at 480p and render finals at the size you ship. Reserve is held at submit, and a balance below the estimate fails with 402 insufficient_credits instead of overspending, so top up before a batch. Read GET /v1/usage after the first 20 clips and rescale the month from the real average; the estimate guide shows the method.
