Kling 4.0 makes 30 s clips; Sume's Kling 3 stops at 15 s

Kling's page says Kling 4.0 makes native 3-30 s clips. Sume lists kling-3 at 4-15 s, so here is how to get 30 s on Sume today with other models or two clips.

Kling's own announcement says Kling 4.0 generates native clips of 3 to 30 seconds, with early access that began 2026-09-28 and a full launch due in October. On Sume, the model you can call is kling-3, which accepts 4 to 15 seconds. There is no kling-4 model id in the Sume catalog as of 2026-10-02, so a 30-second Kling clip is not available on Sume today.

If the goal is a 30-second shot, two Sume models accept it directly, and a third route joins shorter clips.

Which Sume models reach 30 seconds?

From the Sume catalog: seedance-2.5 accepts 4 to 30 seconds, and wan-3.0 accepts 2 to 30 seconds. Both are single-clip generations. kling-3 tops out at 15 seconds and gemini-omni-flash-1.1 at 10 seconds.

Duration ranges. Kling page and Sume catalog, read 2026-10-02.

Can I join two 15-second Kling clips instead?

Yes, with a plan. Generate clip A, pull its last frame, and use it as the first frame of clip B on kling-3, which accepts first and end frames. Then join both in Sume's timeline. Expect a visible seam if the lighting or subject drifts, so check the join frame by frame. This is a workaround, not the same as one continuous 30-second generation.

Should I wait for Kling 4.0 on Sume?

Do not plan a launch around it. Nothing in the Sume docs promises a date. Build the pipeline on a model id held in config; when a kling-4 id appears in the catalog, you change one value and re-run your test prompts.
