Inworld TTS-2 Flash price: $15 per 1M characters, and Sume's count
Inworld lists TTS-2 Flash at $15 per 1M characters on On-Demand, less on paid plans. How characters are counted on Sume TTS 1.0, and its limits per request.

Inworld's pricing page lists TTS-2 Flash at $15 per 1M characters on On-Demand, which is $0.015 per 1,000 characters, and lower on paid plans. Sume has no Flash tier to match it: TTS 1.0 is a single listing at $0.0475 per 1,000 characters.
How much does Flash save on a 5,000-character script?
Using only the On-Demand rates on the page, a 5,000-character script is 5 x $0.015 = $0.075 on Flash and 5 x $0.025 = $0.125 on TTS-2. Under the page's Enterprise column, custom pricing, Flash is listed as "Sub-$5/1M" and TTS-2 as "As low as $5/1M". Read 2026-10-01.
| Model | Per 1M characters | 5,000 characters |
|---|---|---|
| TTS-2 Flash | $15 | $0.075 |
| TTS-2 | $25 | $0.125 |
Is there a Flash-style tier on Sume?
No. TTS 1.0 has no engine picker, so there is no second tier to select; model and model_id are not how an engine is chosen. Named Sonic ids are in the Router catalog, described in Cartesia Sonic 3.6 model ids. Counting rules are in the API reference.
