On Sume, an Ideogram 4.5 image costs $0.0375 at low quality, $0.075 at medium (the default) and $0.275 at high. Size does not change the price: the 1K and 2K resolutions cost the same within a quality. Ideogram 4.5 joined the Image Router this week as ideogram/ideogram-v4.5, for text-to-image and for edits.

Those three numbers are the per-image list prices Sume's image docs quote for the model, $0.03, $0.06 and $0.22, with Sume's standard 25 percent applied. The rest of this page shows the arithmetic, what a request reserves, and what a batch costs.

What does one Ideogram 4.5 image cost by quality?

The image docs describe the model: without input_references it generates from text; with them it edits the first image and uses up to four more as references. quality takes low, medium or high, an omitted value means medium, and resolution takes 1K or 2K.

The list price depends only on quality, so the table below has one row per quality and no size column.

low$0.03$0.0375
medium (default)$0.06$0.075
high$0.22$0.275

Does resolution or aspect ratio change the price?

No. The docs state the list price is per image by quality, whatever the size, so choosing 2K over 1K does not add a line item. An edit without aspect_ratio keeps the shape of the source image, which also does not move the price.

What does move the price is the number of images. The endpoint pricing line is the amount charged to your wallet with Sume's margin already applied, so the docs' rule is cost_usd x n: four medium images are $0.30, four high images are $1.10.

What does a request reserve before it runs?

Paid generation reserves its estimated cost when the submit is accepted. If the workspace balance cannot cover the estimate, the submit fails with 402 insufficient_credits before any provider work starts. A completed generation is billed in full; a failed or canceled one is not billed.

For Ideogram 4.5 the estimate is the per-image price times the image count, so a high-quality request for four images needs $1.10 of spendable balance up front, even if you only expect to keep one. Choosing low for exploration keeps that hold at $0.15 for the same four images.

How many Ideogram 4.5 images does a budget buy?

Divide the budget by the per-image price and round down, since each image is billed whole.

The table gives whole images per budget at each quality. It is arithmetic on the Sume prices above, not a quota.

What does a 40-banner batch cost at each quality?

A concrete case: a retailer wants 40 banner variants, one image each. The batch cost is 40 times the per-image price, nothing more, because size and aspect ratio do not add charges.

Use low to explore wording and layout, medium for the default path, and keep high for the few images that go live. The table shows the full-batch price at each quality so you can see what the choice is worth before you submit.

Remember that each submit is checked against your spendable balance first. Forty high images come to $11.00 however you split them into requests, and each request is checked against balance at submit, so confirm the balance with GET /v1/balance before a large batch.

Where to confirm the current price

Rates can change, so treat this page as a worked example and check the live numbers before you commit a budget. The API pricing page is generated from the same pricing constants the API bills on, and GET /v1/images/models lists the per-image cost_usd for each model. After a run, GET /v1/usage shows what was reserved, captured or refunded.
