How many Make credits does one Sume video job use?

Four in the webhook design: one HTTP create, then a webhook, a result fetch and a write. Core's 10k credits cover 2,500 jobs; Free's 1,000 cover 250.

Answer

Four credits per job in the two-scenario design. Make's pricing page says each module action is 1 credit. Scenario A has one HTTP module that creates the Sume job. Scenario B has a custom webhook, an HTTP module that reads /v1/jobs/:id/result, and a module that writes the URL to your sheet or record. That is 1 + 3 = 4. The count is mine, so recount it with your own modules.

Jobs per plan

The Free plan also allows 2 active scenarios, exactly the two this design needs. Annual plans save 15% or more.

What adds credits

Do not retry a paid create from the handler with a new key: reuse the Idempotency-Key so Sume returns the original job and charges once.

  • Error handler modules that run on a failure.
  • A router with an extra module on each branch.
  • A status-check poll that runs on a schedule and finds nothing.
  • A second write, for example to Slack.

Receiving the event

Sume posts job.completed, job.failed or job.canceled, retrying up to 10 times, 30 seconds apart. Read the details in webhooks.
