Google Flow video length: 4 to 10 seconds by model
Google Flow makes 4, 6 and 8 second clips with Veo 3.1 and 4 to 10 seconds with Gemini Omni Flash 1.1. Length by model and mode, from Google's help page.
In Google Flow, Veo 3.1 clips run 4, 6 or 8 seconds, and Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 clips run 4, 6, 8 or 10 seconds. Two limits change with the mode: Veo 3.1 reference-image clips are 8 seconds only, and Omni video-to-video edits run up to 10 seconds.
Everything about Google Flow below comes from Google's Flow Help page on models and supported features, read 2026-09-29; Google can change it, and Flow itself says to check the active model and credit costs in the prompt box settings before you generate. Sume does not list any Veo model. The last section covers what Sume lists for length.
How long can a Google Flow video be for each model?
The Help page lists lengths per feature. Both aspect ratios are supported for every row shown.

Can I extend a Flow video past 10 seconds?
With Veo, yes for one model: the page says all Veo 3.1 8-second videos can be extended, but you must use Veo 3.1 Lite to extend them. Fast and Quality list extension as unsupported.
With Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, the Flow page lists extending videos under features coming soon as of the read date, so do not plan a Flow workflow around it yet. Google's developer announcement of August 27, 2026 describes scene extension for the Gemini API in 10-second increments up to 40 seconds; that is the API, not the Flow model page.
Can Flow edit an existing video?
Only with Gemini Omni Flash 1.1. Its Video to Video editing row says both aspect ratios, up to 10s video length. All three Veo 3.1 entries list Video to Video editing as unsupported. The page also says Omni can edit uploaded and AI-generated videos.
What clip length does Sume list?
Sume's catalog lists gemini-omni-flash-1.1 at 3–10 seconds, at 360p, 720p, 1080p or 4K, in 16:9 or 9:16, per Video Router and Video generation. Flow's 4, 6, 8 and 10 second choices are a Flow menu; Sume's docs give the model's range as 3–10 seconds.
