GeneratePMaxDraftCampaign IMAGE_ENABLED_GENERATE_PMAX_NOT_SUPPORTED

GeneratePMaxDraftCampaign returns SmartCampaignError.IMAGE_ENABLED_GENERATE_PMAX_NOT_SUPPORTED when image_enabled is true, because Google says that option is not yet supported in v25.2. Leave image_enabled unset or false, then add image assets to the draft yourself; Sume can generate those images.

What does the method do?

SmartCampaignSettingService.GeneratePMaxDraftCampaign generates a Performance Max draft campaign from an existing Smart campaign. The draft starts with status CampaignStatus.PAUSED and creation status CampaignCreationStatus.INCOMPLETE. Setting GeneratePMaxDraftCampaignRequest.validate_only to true validates the conversion and returns warnings or issues in validated_info without creating the draft.

How do I fix the error?

Remove image_enabled or set it to false and resend. Run with validate_only true first if you want the conversion checked before any draft exists. Because the draft is INCOMPLETE, it still needs assets before it is ready, and that is where your own images come in.

How do I make the images with Sume?

Image requests take a prompt, optional image_urls for references, aspect_ratio from the model's native catalog, num_images from 1 to 4 and an output_format. Read a model's record at GET /v1/images/models to see which ratios and sizes it accepts. For GPT custom sizes the docs give a maximum edge of 3840. Which ratios and sizes a Performance Max asset group wants is a Google question; see Google Ads image sizes.

Will image_enabled work later?

The notes say "not yet supported", which signals a future change but gives no date. Re-read the release notes before you remove your own image step.
