FLUX.3 4K at $0.607 vs Sume's flux-2-pro at $0.0375: 1,000-image math
BFL lists FLUX.3 at $0.048 (1k) and $0.607 (4k) per image. Sume does not list FLUX.3; its flux-2-pro row is $0.0375 per image, so 1,000 images cost $37.50.

Black Forest Labs lists FLUX.3 Image at $0.041 (768sq), $0.048 (1k), $0.100 (2k) and $0.607 (4k) per image, with 1 credit equal to $0.01. Sume does not list FLUX.3 yet. Its catalog does list flux-2-pro at $0.0375 per image, so a thousand images cost $37.50 there.
Vendor prices for 1,000 images
The table multiplies BFL's per-image prices from its pricing page by 1,000. These are BFL's own prices, not Sume's, and Sume does not resell this model today.
| Size | Per image | 1,000 images | Credits per image |
|---|---|---|---|
| 768sq (768x768) | $0.041 | $41.00 | 4.1 |
| 1k (~1 MP) | $0.048 | $48.00 | 4.8 |
| 2k (~4 MP) | $0.10 | $100.00 | 10 |
| 4k (~16 MP) | $0.607 | $607.00 | 60.7 |
What the 4k row tells you
The jump from 2k to 4k on BFL's page is 6.07 times for about four times the pixels (about 4 MP to about 16 MP), so 4k costs more per pixel than 2k. If you do not need native 4k, generating at 2k and checking the result may be cheaper than paying for 4k on every image.
For an image set on Sume today, the nearest listed FLUX family row is flux-2-pro. Its price of $0.0375 per image is lower than BFL's smallest FLUX.3 size, but the two are different models, and this post does not claim they produce comparable images. If you need FLUX.3 specifically, use BFL's API directly.
- Sume lists flux-2-pro at $0.0375 per image; no FLUX.3 row exists in the catalog read 2026-10-09.
- BFL's docs excerpt shows no launch discount; check the page for current offers.
- Sume's other 4K rows: nano-banana-2.1 $0.20, nano-banana-pro $0.375, gpt-image-2.5 high $0.2225.
A mixed batch on BFL
If you went to BFL directly for a set of 1,000 images, with 800 at 1k and 200 at 2k, the cost on BFL's page is 800 x $0.048 + 200 x $0.100 = $38.40 + $20.00 = $58.40. All 1,000 at 768sq is $41.00. Replacing 50 of the 1k images with 4k hero shots adds 50 x ($0.607 - $0.048) = $27.95.
For comparison, 1,000 Sume flux-2-pro images are $37.50. The difference from the BFL 1k price is $10.50 per thousand. Remember that a cheaper row is not a like-for-like substitute for a newer model, and that this post does not assert any quality ranking.
