Five avatar creators, 50 Q4 UGC clips: $188.75 on Sume, line by line
Five Sume avatars at $0.95 each plus 50 fifteen-second Plus-quality clips at $0.245 a second comes to $188.75. Here is every line of that Q4 UGC budget.
Five avatar creators and 50 fifteen-second Plus-quality UGC clips cost $188.75 on Sume: $4.75 to create the five avatars and $184.00 to render 50 clips at $0.245 a second, each clip rounded up to the cent. Swap Plus for Standard and the render line falls to $138.00, for $142.75 in total.
The point of five faces is variety across a Q4 test, since ad fatigue arrives early in the holiday window. Each avatar is a reusable asset, so the $0.95 is paid once, not once per clip.
Every line, with arithmetic
Avatar creation is a flat $0.95. Plus-quality talking video without a product image is $0.245 per second, so one 15-second clip is 15 × $0.245 = $3.675, billed as $3.68 after rounding up to the cent. Fifty clips are therefore 50 × $3.68 = $184.00, and the five avatars add $4.75. Without per-job rounding the render line would be $183.75, so the rounding adds $0.25 to the batch.
| Line | Unit price | Quantity | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Create avatar | $0.95 | 5 | $4.75 |
| Plus clip, 15 s, no product | $3.68 | 50 | $184.00 |
| Captions burned in (inline) | $0 extra billed job | 50 | $0.00 |
| Budget total | $188.75 |
Why rounding and captions matter
Quote the rounded number to a client, since billing rounds each job up. The docs say inline captions do not create a separate billed video-caption job, which is why that line is zero. If you caption an existing public video instead, a standalone caption job is $0.20 for up to 60 seconds, so 50 clips would add $10.00.
Cheaper and dearer variants
Standard quality at $0.184 per second: 15 × $0.184 = $2.76 per clip, so 50 clips are $138.00 plus $4.75 for avatars, $142.75. Max at $0.55: 15 × $0.55 = $8.25 per clip, so 50 clips are $412.50 plus $4.75, $417.25.
A split often works best: render all 50 on Standard, pick the 10 that perform, and re-render them on Plus. That costs $138.00 + 10 × $3.68 = $174.80, plus the avatars, and you only pay for the Plus upgrade where it can matter.
Keep the spend visible
Each job returns a billable amount in its submit envelope, so a script can add up a day's spend before you look at a dashboard. Send an Idempotency-Key on every call, since a retry after a timeout otherwise risks a second charge for the same clip.
