fal list vs Sume per second for six video rows, read Oct 5

fal's list price for Wan 3.0, H3 Max, Omni Flash 1.1, Kling 3.0 Pro, Recast and Seedance 2.5 next to what Sume bills (list x 1.25), with a 10-second example.

Sume bills each video row at the provider list price times 1.25, and the job total is rounded up to the cent. Read on 2026-10-05, six of the twelve Sume video ids have a fal list price you can check yourself, and the Sume rate is exactly one quarter higher in every case.

That makes the comparison easy to do before you submit: take the fal number, multiply by 1.25, then by the seconds you plan to request. The table below puts the two side by side, and the vendor pages are linked in the sources.

The table

Every fal figure comes from the model page named in the sources, read on 2026-10-05. Every Sume figure is the list price times 1.25, as documented in the Sume Video Router docs. Where a page lists several resolution tiers, the cells run in the same order.

A 10-second example

Take a 10-second Wan 3.0 clip at 720p. fal lists $1.00, and Sume bills $1.25. The same clip on H3 Max at 768p is $0.80 on fal and $1.00 on Sume. Omni Flash 1.1 at 1080p is $1.50 on fal and $1.88 on Sume.

Kling 3.0 Pro for 10 seconds with audio is $1.68 on fal and $2.10 on Sume. A 10-second Recast job at 768p is $3.00 on fal and $3.75 on Sume.

Three things the table does not say

  • Seedance is billed per 1,000 video tokens, not per second, so the cost depends on resolution, aspect ratio and duration. The Sume catalog exposes the rate as a pricing_skus entry in GET /v1/videos/models.
  • The Kling figure comes from fal's image-to-video page. The same family can have a different list on other endpoints, so read the catalog row for the endpoint you actually call.
  • fal can change a list price at any time. The Sume rate follows the catalog, so re-read GET /v1/videos/models before you budget a large batch.

When to use the catalog instead of this table

This table is a snapshot. For code, call GET /v1/videos/models and read supported_durations, supported_resolutions and pricing_skus for the id you plan to send. The catalog check post shows the request-side validation. Sume rejects a value the catalog does not advertise with a 400, rather than silently changing it.
