Avatar Face Swap on Sume is a beta, and it reserves its price from Avatar Video public pricing for the maximum 15-second source: $2.76 on the standard tier, $3.675 on plus and $8.25 on max per swap. Twenty-four swaps therefore reserve $66.24, $88.20 and $198.00.

Reservation at the maximum

The catalog says each Face Swap tier reserves with the matching Avatar Video price for the maximum beta source-video duration, which is 15 seconds, and that final workflow pricing may be refined before general availability. So the numbers are the reserved ceiling.

A 6-second source video still reserves the 15-second amount in this beta, per the catalog text. If your sources are shorter than 15 seconds, the hold overstates the cost until capture, and the final price may change.

TierPer secondOne swap (15 s)24 swaps
standard$0.18415 x $0.184 = $2.7624 x $2.76 = $66.24
plus$0.24515 x $0.245 = $3.67524 x $3.675 = $88.20
max$0.5515 x $0.55 = $8.2524 x $8.25 = $198.00

Planning 24 swaps

Standard: 15 x $0.184 = $2.76 per swap; 24 x $2.76 = $66.24. Plus: 15 x $0.245 = $3.675; 24 x $3.675 = $88.20. Max: 15 x $0.55 = $8.25; 24 x $8.25 = $198.00.

Before a full run, test one swap per tier and compare. Plus costs 33 percent more than standard, and max is about 3 times the standard price. If standard looks fine, the other two tiers cost you $22 and $132 more for the batch.

What you need

The endpoint takes a ready Avatar 1.0 handle and a public HTTPS source video. Create the avatar first at $0.95; that is a one-time cost, so 24 swaps with one avatar add only $0.95 to the totals above.

Because the feature is a beta, avoid building a fixed per-video price into customer-facing quotes. Recheck the catalog before each campaign.

  • Source: public HTTPS video, up to 15 s
  • Face: a ready Avatar 1.0 handle

A second scenario

Run a pilot first. Six standard swaps cost 6 x $2.76 = $16.56 in reserved amount. Add the one-time avatar creation of $0.95 and the pilot is $17.51. Because the beta reserves at the 15-second maximum even for shorter sources, the hold is the number to size your balance against, and the final amount may be refined before general availability.

Docs

The Face swap and Avatar docs pages describe the request and the job result. Poll the job as with any other Sume async job.

Reproduce the numbers

Open https://api.sume.com/v1/catalog, which needs no key, and find the entry for the product. Each model_pricing row carries price, unit, pricing_basis and the estimated, minimum and maximum cents. Multiply the unit price by your quantity and round only at the end. The catalog also has applied_* fields that include an agent fee of 550 basis points; the figures in this post use the base prices.
