ElevenLabs v4 Turbo after Oct 12: $0.04 vs Sume TTS $0.0475
ElevenLabs v4 Turbo is $0.011 per 1K characters until Oct 12 and shows $0.04 as the struck-through price. Sume TTS is $0.0475. Costs for 37,500 characters.

ElevenLabs lists v4 Turbo at $0.011 per 1,000 characters with '72% off until Oct 12'. The struck-through price beside it is $0.04. Sume TTS 1.0 costs $0.0475 per 1,000 characters. For a 37,500-character script, that is $0.41 at the promo, $1.50 at the struck-through price and $1.78 on Sume.
37,500 characters at three prices
The pricing page does not say what v4 Turbo costs after Oct 12. The only post-promo number visible is the struck-through $0.04, which I treat as the likely regular price but not as a confirmed future price. Re-read the page on Oct 13.
| Option | Per 1,000 characters | 37,500 characters | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| ElevenLabs v4 Turbo, promo | $0.011 | $0.41 | until Oct 12 |
| ElevenLabs v4 Turbo, struck-through | $0.040 | $1.50 | not a confirmed post-promo price |
| Sume TTS 1.0 | $0.0475 | $1.78 | catalog price, includes Sume margin |
Limits that change the plan
Sume TTS caps one request at 20,000 characters, which is $0.95 at the catalog rate. A 37,500-character script needs two requests: for example 20,000 plus 17,500. Cost is linear in characters, so splitting does not change the total of $1.78 (37.5 x $0.0475 = $1.78125).
Sume's gap to the struck-through price is $0.0075 per 1,000 characters, or 18.75%. The gap to the promo price is $0.0365, about 4.3x.
What to do before Oct 12
If you have a large backlog and need ElevenLabs voices, the promo window is the cheap moment and Sume cannot match it. If you want the audio created through the same job API as your video and images, Sume's rate is predictable and has no expiry date written on it. Check the live per-model list at GET /v1/tts-router/models, which the catalog entry for the TTS Router points to.
Other ElevenLabs tiers on the same page
The ElevenLabs page also lists v4 at $0.022 per 1,000 characters on the same 72% promo (struck-through $0.08), Flash/Turbo at $0.04, v3 at $0.08 and v2 Multilingual at $0.08. For the 37,500-character script that is $0.83 for v4 on promo and $3.00 at the struck-through $0.08, against $1.78 on Sume.
