ElevenLabs Eleven v4 72% off until Oct 12: the per-character math
ElevenLabs lists Eleven v4 at $0.022 per 1K characters until Oct 12, then $0.08; v4 Turbo is $0.011, then $0.04. Costs for 10,000 and 100,000 characters.

On ElevenLabs' API pricing page, Eleven v4 costs $0.022 per 1,000 characters until October 12 (a 72% promotion) and $0.08 afterwards, while v4 Turbo is $0.011 now and $0.04 afterwards. Ten thousand characters therefore cost $0.22 on v4 this week and $0.80 after the promotion ends.
All rates are from ElevenLabs' API pricing page as read today. Sume does not publish a per-character speech rate in its docs, so this post prices the vendor side only and does not state a Sume equivalent.
Rates and totals
Total = characters / 1,000 x rate.
| Model | Rate per 1K chars | 10,000 chars | 100,000 chars |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eleven v4 (promo to Oct 12) | $0.022 | $0.22 | $2.20 |
| Eleven v4 (regular) | $0.08 | $0.80 | $8.00 |
| v4 Turbo (promo) | $0.011 | $0.11 | $1.10 |
| v4 Turbo (regular) | $0.04 | $0.40 | $4.00 |
| Flash/Turbo | $0.04 | $0.40 | $4.00 |
| v2 Multilingual / v3 | $0.08 | $0.80 | $8.00 |
Budget around the end date
If a voiceover project runs past October 12, split the budget: characters rendered before the date use the $0.022 rate, the rest use $0.08. A 250,000 character project rendered half before and half after costs 125 x $0.022 + 125 x $0.08 = $2.75 + $10.00 = $12.75, against $20.00 if all after, or $5.50 if all before.
For music rather than speech, ElevenLabs lists music generation at $0.15 per minute. Sume's Music 1.0 bills a fixed $0.125 per accepted generation, per the Music docs; the two are priced on different units (minutes versus generations), so compare on track length.
