A 30-second Seedance 2.5 clip costs $1.05 at Dreamina's first-month offer rate of $0.035 per second, and $2.91 at the $0.097 per second annual Advanced rate, according to Dreamina's own pages. The two numbers are both real, but they describe different plans, so do not average them. On Sume the same clip is metered per request instead.

The two Dreamina figures

The 30-second totals are the pages' own examples or simple multiplication of the listed per-second rate. See Dreamina's Seedance 2.5 pricing and Seedance price.

Why the gap is so wide

A promotion discounts the first month. An annual plan discounts the rate over a year. The pages combine plan, resolution and promotion differently, and one of them notes that totals depend on credits per second and the promotion in force. A 30-second clip is the maximum length Seedance 2.5 offers per generation, so it is the most expensive single request.

How to read the same clip on Sume

seedance-2.5 on Sume accepts 4 to 30 seconds. You send duration: 30 and a resolution of 480p, 720p or 1080p to POST /v1/videos. Sume reserves the provider list price times 1.25 on submit and reports the billable amount in usage.cost when the job completes.

Because the reserve scales with seconds and resolution, read pricing_skus from GET /v1/videos/models rather than copying a number from a blog post. This page does not quote a Sume price for that reason; the price-per-second post lists the figures from the pricing code.

Questions to ask before comparing

Comparing a promotional per-second rate with a metered API reserve is only fair if both cover the same resolution and length.

  • Which resolution does the figure assume? The Dreamina offer is 720p.
  • Is the price a promotion, and when does it end?
  • Is audio included in the figure, or billed separately?
  • Does the figure apply per generation or per second?
