Seedance 2.5 80-credit minimum per generation vs Sume's reserve

Runway lists Seedance 2.5 with an 80 credit minimum per generation. Sume reserves provider list x 1.25 at submit; here is a 4-second clip by resolution.

Runway's API pricing page lists Seedance 2.5 at 20, 30 or 68 credits per second of output (480p, 720p, 1080p), with an 80 credit minimum per generation. Sume has no such minimum in its docs: the Video Router reserves provider list price times 1.25 on submit, scaled to the seconds you ask for.

Below is what a 4-second seedance-2.5 clip reserves on Sume, computed from the pricing code and read 2026-09-30. Vendor figures are from Runway's page; Sume's rule is from the video docs.

What does the vendor minimum mean?

Per the Runway page, a very short generation is billed at least 80 credits, whatever the per-second rate would give. At 480p, 4 seconds at 20 credits is 80 credits, so the minimum only matters below that. At 720p and 1080p the per-second figure already exceeds 80 for 4 seconds. Reference images and audio are free; the page lists input and reference video separately.

What does Sume reserve for a short clip?

Sume's Billing row in the router docs: workspace USD balance, reserved on submit at provider list x 1.25. seedance-2.5 accepts 4 to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p and 1080p.

What if my balance is too low?

Submit fails with 402 insufficient_credits before provider work starts, so a reservation you cannot cover never reaches the provider. See insufficient credits 402. If the job fails, the reservation is released; see the admission docs.

How do I check the number for my own request?

Read per-model rates in the catalog (GET /v1/catalog); the pricing page says router rows are provider list rates times Sume margin, with per-model rates in the catalog. For a draft-then-final workflow that keeps tests small, see Seedance 2.5 draft at 480p then 1080p.
