Do you have to credit an open video model? Label, notice, license
H3 requires a visible 'MiniMax H3' label in commercial products. Hunyuan only encourages 'Powered by'. LTX and Wan ask for notices and a license copy. Per file.

It depends on the model. MiniMax H3's FAQ says commercial products using H3 must prominently display "MiniMax H3" in their user interface. The Tencent Hunyuan license only encourages a "Powered by Tencent Hunyuan" mark but requires a Notice text file when you distribute the works outside a hosted service. LTX-2.x and Apache 2.0 (Wan 2.2) ask you to pass on a copy of the license and keep notices. Read from vendor files on 2026-10-08; not legal advice.
What each file asks for
The first column is what you do if you ship a product or distribute files.
| Model | Visible credit | Files and notices |
|---|---|---|
| MiniMax H3 | Required for commercial products: display "MiniMax H3" prominently in the UI | Modified-file notices when you redistribute; derivatives stay under the Community License |
| HunyuanVideo | Encouraged, not required: "Powered by Tencent Hunyuan" (Section 3(c)) | Give recipients a copy of the license; mark modified files; add a Notice file for non-hosted distribution (3(a), 3(b), 3(d)) |
| LTX-2.5 | No UI label found in Section 3 | Copy of the agreement to recipients; modified-file notices; keep copyright and attribution notices (3.2 to 3.4) |
| Wan 2.2 | No UI label in the Apache 2.0 text | Give recipients a copy of the license; modified files carry notices (Section 4) |
Where a product label goes
H3's rule is the only one of the four that touches your interface. The FAQ does not define 'prominently', so a settings page footnote is a risk and a visible label near the generation control is closer to the text. Ask MiniMax at the contact address on its FAQ if the design is borderline; the page lists model@minimax.io for direct contact.
Hunyuan's notice text is fixed: 'Tencent Hunyuan is licensed under the Tencent Hunyuan Community License Agreement, Copyright 2024 Tencent. All Rights Reserved.' plus the trademark sentence. Section 3(d) says it goes in a file with any distribution to third parties other than through a hosted service.
Hosting for others changes the list
If you serve the model to third parties, more clauses apply: H3 asks for reasonable content safeguards; LTX-2.x lists hosting for remote access under its distribution section and needs the use-based restrictions copied into your terms; Hunyuan requires the Section 5(a) and 5(b) restrictions in your own terms of use. A product that merely sells clips made on your own server is a smaller obligation than a product that exposes the model.
A hosted model does not move these duties to you
When you call a hosted id on Sume, such as minimax-h3, you receive a video file and Sume bills the Sume price, provider list times 1.25. Sume's video docs do not state a label requirement for hosted output, and this post makes no claim about one. Check the hosting terms and the model vendor's current terms before you publish at scale.
