Creatify Boreal price per second vs Sume's reserve ledger

Creatify prices Boreal at a cent per second of finished video. Sume shows each model's supported durations, reserves credits at admit and logs it in /v1/usage.

Creatify's Boreal API is priced per second of finished video: its launch post says one cent per second, about $0.05 for a five-second clip, for text-to-video and image-to-video. Sume works differently: it checks supported durations per model, reserves credits when a job is admitted, and records the reservation and capture in GET /v1/usage.

Boreal figures are as Creatify wrote them on 2026-09-15, read 2026-10-01. Sume behavior is from the Video docs and generation admission.

How does Creatify say Boreal is billed?

The post says Boreal is "priced per second of finished video, not per credit or per token", so you can work out the cost before you run the job. Its examples: one second is a cent, a five-second clip a nickel, twenty of them about a dollar. Those are Creatify's own claims; this page does not test them.

How do I estimate a clip cost on Sume?

Start from the model list: each model reports supported_durations (video lengths in whole seconds), resolutions and pricing_skus, so you can check a request is valid before submitting. Rates sit on the API pricing page. Because rates differ by model and resolution, multiply the SKU rate by the seconds you plan to request.

What happens at submit and after?

Sume cost controls, read 2026-10-01.
StageWhat the docs say
Before submitsupported_durations lists valid lengths in whole seconds
At admitCredits are reserved; Fabric, for example, reserves from audio duration
Low balanceSubmit fails with 402 insufficient_credits before provider work starts
AfterGET /v1/usage shows reservations, captures, refunds and top-ups

What should I do before running a batch?

Run one clip at the length and resolution you intend, then read its row in /v1/usage and scale from the captured amount. For per-run totals see AI video run cost per run.
