Adobe forecasts $21.3 billion in buy now, pay later spend across the U.S. holiday season, up 6.6%, with 82% of it on mobile and $1.09 billion on Cyber Monday. If you offer installments at checkout, a short installment line on the product video is a cheap addition. With Sume you can burn that line onto a finished clip as an authored caption cue, without regenerating the footage.

The figures

These are Adobe's forecasts for U.S. online spend, not results.

Add the line without a re-render

The video captions endpoint takes cues, each with text, start and end. Because authored cues skip speech-to-text, it works on a silent product clip. Put the installment line in the last two or three seconds, after the product has had its moment.

Use the exact wording your payment provider requires. Sume does not know which installment provider you use, what terms apply, or whether a given claim is permitted, so the text is yours to write and review.

  • Keep one clean master and one captioned copy per text variant.
  • Use a separate idempotency key per variant.
  • Do not state an amount per month unless it matches your checkout exactly.

Limits

Installment advertising is regulated in several markets and the rules vary. This post is not legal advice and the Adobe page does not describe those rules. Platform ad policies may also restrict financing claims in video. A standalone caption job is $0.20 per the docs for clips up to 60 seconds, and a silent clip with no cues fails with caption_no_speech.
