Black Friday give-back clip: Omni Flash plus pledge captions, $0.95
Announce a Black Friday give-back pledge as a 6-second 9:16 clip on Sume: Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 720p and three caption cues, $0.95, plus $0.20 per variant.

A "we give back" Black Friday announcement is a 6-second clip with the pledge written on it, and on Sume it costs $0.95: one Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 clip at 720p ($0.75) plus one caption job ($0.20). Add the same clip's end-of-sale version for $0.20 more and both cost $1.15. The words matter more than the footage, so write the pledge first and let the caption layer carry it.
Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27, the day after Thanksgiving. Most brands will be shouting discounts that morning. A pledge (a share of the day's sales to a named cause, a day off for the team, a repair-instead-of-replace offer) is a different message, and a clip that only has to carry one sentence can be small.
What goes on the screen
Cause-related claims are your claims, so every word on the clip should match your own written terms: the percentage or flat amount, what it applies to, the cap if there is one, the end date, and the recipient's full name. The clip is the wrong place for anything you would not put in your terms. Sume does the rendering; it does not check a pledge for you.
- Cue 1 (0-2 s): the pledge in one sentence
- Cue 2 (2-4 s): what it covers and the end date
- Cue 3 (4-6 s): the recipient's name and where to read the terms
Build it in three steps
Step one is the clip, read from GET /v1/jobs/:id/result when it completes. The Video Router page lists gemini-omni-flash-1.1 at 3-10 s, 360p to 4K, 16:9 or 9:16, with native synced audio always on (the API rejects generate_audio: false). The prompt says "no text" because you will add the text yourself. Step two is to open the result and keep the sound only if it fits: the audio cannot be turned off at generation, but you can drop it afterwards with a trim job that sets audio (see the Video trim page). Step three is the cue job from the postponed-event post, POST /v1/video-captions with three cues on the clip's media.sume.com URL.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-router/generate \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: give-back-clip-001" \

Omni Flash 1.1 is billed per output second by resolution, list x 1.25. The 12.5-cent 720p rate is from the repository price table; check the live catalog before budgeting.
| Item | Basis | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Announcement clip | 6 s x $0.125/s, 720p | $0.75 |
| Pledge captions | 1 job | $0.20 |
| End-of-sale captions (Nov 30 variant) | 1 job on the same clean clip | $0.20 |
| Optional mute | 1 trim job with audio dropped | $0.02 |
| Both versions, no mute | $1.15 |
Keep the clean clip
As with any caption workflow, burned text is permanent, so keep the clip you captioned from. You will want it again on Monday, November 30, when the pledge turns into a thank-you with the final total, which is only known once the day is over. Write that cue set now and run it then. If the total is not final, do not post a number.
