The short answer

Akool's pricing page lists Starter at $12 for 200 credits, which is $0.060 per credit, and Business at $249 for 6,000 credits, or $0.0415 per credit. Per-credit price falls 31 percent from the smallest to the largest plan. Spending those same dollars on Sume Plus avatar video at $0.245 per second gives 48 seconds at $12 and 1,016 seconds at $249. What Akool prints

The page lists four plans. API access appears from Pro Max and above, and concurrency by plan is 2, 6, 8 and 20 videos. I did not read a per-video credit figure, so the table stops at price per credit and dollars converted to Sume seconds.

Akool plans and the same dollars on Sume Plus (read 2026-10-04)
PlanPriceCreditsPrice per creditSume Plus seconds
Starter$12200$0.060048 s (0.8 min)
Pro$30600$0.0500122 s (2.0 min)
Pro Max$591,200$0.0492240 s (4.0 min)
Business$2496,000$0.04151016 s (16.9 min)

Reading the ladder

The ladder shows what scale buys: Pro at $0.050, Pro Max at $0.0492 and Business at $0.0415 per credit. The jump from Pro to Pro Max is small, so the reason to move up there is API access, not price.

What changes on Sume

Sume's docs list one price per tier. Standard is $0.184 per second, Plus $0.245 and Max $0.55, so the unit cost does not change with how many clips you make. That is the trade: no ladder to climb, but also no plan to outgrow or leave idle.

Concurrency on Sume is 1 job processing and 5 queued on Free, 4 and 20 on Pro, 8 and 40 on Startup, 20 and 100 on Scale and Enterprise. Akool lists 2, 6, 8 and 20 concurrent videos by plan, so compare the top numbers if you batch.

The cheapest listed way to the API

Akool's API appears from Pro Max at $59 and above. That same $59 on Sume Plus is 240 seconds of avatar video, or 16 clips of 15 seconds ($58.80). If you want to test an API workflow before committing to a plan, Sume lets you do it for a few dollars: one 4-second Standard clip is $0.736.

Next steps

Decide on volume and API access first, then compare cost per finished clip. The price ladder lists Sume totals, and the batch limits explain queues.
