Audio and video API dates to calendar: Oct 12, Nov 11, end of 2026
ElevenLabs v4's 72% discount ends Oct 12, Seedance 1.5 Pro retires Nov 11, Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS pricing runs to year end. A dated table and a countdown script.

Three dates from vendor pages affect an audio and video pipeline this fall: ElevenLabs v4's discounted API price ends Oct 12, Seedance 1.5 Pro retires Nov 11, and Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS audio output is priced at $9.00 per million tokens through the end of 2026. One more already passed: Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro were discontinued on Sept 24, per the ElevenLabs changelog.
Put them in a calendar, then check which of your jobs and budgets cross each date.
The dated list
All entries are as listed on the vendor pages read on 2026-10-03.
| Date | Event | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Sept 24, 2026 | Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro discontinued | ElevenLabs changelog, Sept 23 |
| Oct 12, 2026 | 72% discount on ElevenLabs v4 ends; v4 is $0.022 per 1K characters until then | ElevenLabs API pricing |
| Nov 11, 2026 | Seedance 1.5 Pro retires (deprecated now) | ElevenLabs changelog, Sept 23 |
| End of 2026 | Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS audio output at $9.00 per 1M tokens runs through this date | Gemini API pricing |
What the Oct 12 date implies
The price page gives $0.022 per 1K characters for v4 with a 72% discount. The implied undiscounted rate is $0.022 divided by 0.28, about $0.079 per 1K characters. That is arithmetic on the page's two numbers, not a listed price, so confirm the post-Oct 12 figure on the page before you budget it. v4 Turbo is listed at $0.011 per 1K, with no discount noted in the entry.
On the Sume side, check your own rate card rather than carrying a vendor price across: Sume bills video at provider list times 1.25 per its video docs, and publishes its own audio job prices.
A countdown script
This prints the days left to each date from today. Edit the list as vendors move their dates.

A date only matters if something of yours crosses it.
- Before Oct 12: list long-running TTS batches and decide whether to run them while the discounted rate applies.
- Before Nov 11: search your code and stored prompts for Seedance 1.5 Pro ids, and read the live model list instead of hard-coding one. The Sume catalog is at
GET /v1/videos/models. - Before year end: convert the Gemini token price to a per-minute figure with your own measured tokens per second of audio, because the pricing entry gives tokens, not minutes.
- After Sept 24: any workflow that still names a Sora model needs a replacement. Route through a catalog id or
sume/autoso a retirement does not break the run.
