Agency approval loop for AI video: 480p proof, then the final on Sume
Show clients a cheap 480p Seedance 2.5 proof, get sign-off, then pay for the 1080p final. Cost table for a 30 s clip: $8.06 proof, $42.65 final, plus rounds.

For client work, send a 480p proof, get approval, then render the final at 720p or 1080p. On Sume a 30-second Seedance 2.5 proof is about $8.06, the 720p final about $17.33 and the 1080p final about $42.65. The catch is that there is no seed, so the final is a new take, not an upscale of the proof. Tell the client that before they sign off.
What the proof is, and is not
A proof shows the idea, the camera path, the casting of the references and the pacing. It does not show final detail. Because seedance-2.5 does not accept a seed on Sume, rendering the same prompt at a higher resolution produces a different clip. The approved proof is a direction, not a frame-accurate preview. The draft-then-final workflow post covers this in detail.
BytePlus lists 480p, 720p and 1080p as the available resolutions for Seedance 2.5 (BytePlus: Dreamina Seedance 2.5), so all three exist on both sides.
Quote the rounds
Price the engagement in rounds. Each round is a new proof; the final is paid once after approval, and you should include a second final take in the quote because a good proof does not guarantee a good final.
| Plan | Proofs at 480p | Finals | Total at 720p final | Total at 1080p final |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lean | 1 | 1 | $25.39 | $50.71 |
| Standard | 3 | 1 | $41.51 | $66.83 |
| Cautious | 3 | 2 | $58.85 | $109.47 |
Operate it on Sume
Submit every proof and final with its own Idempotency-Key and keep the job id with the client ticket. The Jobs and results docs say to store the job id so work can be recovered after a restart. If your plan limits concurrency, extra proofs wait as queued, which is normal per Generation admission.
