24 Omni hook drafts at 360p, 4 winners at 1080p: $4.95 total
Draft 24 three-second hooks on Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 360p for $2.70, then re-render the 4 winners at 1080p for $2.25. The full test is $4.95.

Twenty-four three-second hook drafts on Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 360p cost 24 x $0.1125 = $2.70 on Sume. Re-rendering four winners at 1080p costs 4 x $0.5625 = $2.25. The full test is $4.95. One caution: a re-render is a new take, so the winner's look can change.
Per-clip prices
Omni accepts 3 to 10 seconds and offers 360p, 720p, 1080p and 4K. Sume bills the provider list price times 1.25, as the Video Generation docs state. The per-second rates are $0.0375 at 360p, $0.125 at 720p, $0.1875 at 1080p and $0.375 at 4K. A 3-second clip is therefore $0.1125, $0.375, $0.5625 and $1.125.
The prices are before any platform fee. The ratio between 360p and 1080p is $0.1875 / $0.0375 = 5, so a draft costs one fifth of the final.
For a quick estimate, remember the ratios against 360p: 720p is 3.33 times the draft price and 1080p is 5 times.
The two-step test
Step one is 24 drafts at 360p: 24 x $0.1125 = $2.70. Step two is to pick four by eye, on a phone, from the drafts. Step three is to re-render those four prompts at 1080p: 4 x $0.5625 = $2.25. The total is $2.70 + $2.25 = $4.95.
Skipping the draft stage and rendering all 24 at 1080p would cost 24 x $0.5625 = $13.50. The draft route saves $13.50 - $4.95 = $8.55, which is 63 percent of the direct cost.
The total is small enough that you can run the test twice. Two rounds of 24 drafts and 4 finals cost 2 x $4.95 = $9.90, which is still less than rendering all 24 hooks once at 1080p ($13.50).
The selection step is where the time goes. Review the 24 drafts on a phone in one session, score each from 1 to 5 for the first second, and take the four with the highest scores.
| Step | Count | Unit price | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drafts, 360p | 24 | $0.1125 | $2.70 |
| Finals, 1080p | 4 | $0.5625 | $2.25 |
| Draft route total | $4.95 | ||
| All 24 at 1080p | 24 | $0.5625 | $13.50 |
The catch: a re-render is a new take
Sume does not accept a seed for these models, and a request with a seed returns 400. A second render of the same prompt at a higher resolution is a new generation, not an upscale of the draft. The motion, the face of the product and the light can differ.
Plan for that. Judge the drafts on the idea, the first frame and the timing, not on small details. After the 1080p render, check the result again and keep the draft as a fallback if the final lost the point of the hook.
A draft that cannot be judged at 360p is a poor test. If your hook depends on a small label or a fine texture, move up to 720p for the draft, at $0.375 each, which makes 24 drafts $9.00.
If a final does not match its draft, run it once more. A retry at 1080p costs another $0.5625, and four retries cost $2.25, which brings the whole test to $7.20.
Keep prompts with the files
Name the drafts by number and keep the prompts in a file. When a winner is chosen, copy the exact prompt and first frame into the final request. Use one Idempotency-Key per prompt and resolution, so a retry does not create a second charge.
