15-second vertical Seedance ad: 12 prices vs TikTok's 540x960
A 15 s 9:16 Seedance clip costs $1.32 to $21.33 on Sume across four models and three tiers. Only 720p and 1080p clear TikTok's 540x960 minimum.

The cheapest 15-second vertical Seedance clip that clears TikTok's 540x960 minimum is Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p, which costs $2.84 on Sume. Its 480p price is $1.32, but a 9:16 clip at 480p is 496x864, below the minimum. Across the four Seedance models and three tiers, the 15-second price runs from $1.32 to $21.33.
The TikTok limit that decides the tier
TikTok's help page for in-feed ad specifications lists, for non-Spark ads, a vertical 9:16 video at 540x960 pixels or larger as the recommended format. The same page lists MP4, MOV, MPEG, 3GP and AVI, up to 10 minutes, 500 MB or less, and a bitrate of at least 516 kbps.
For a 15-second clip, only the pixel size is a real constraint. Seedance's 9:16 sizes are 496x864 at 480p, 720x1280 at 720p and 1080x1920 at 1080p. The 480p size is narrower than 540 and shorter than 960, so it fails on both dimensions.
The 12 prices
Sume prices Seedance by tokens: width x height x seconds x 24 / 1024, rounded up, times a per-1,000-token rate, then times 1.25 and rounded up to the cent. A 15-second 720p clip is 324,000 tokens and a 15-second 1080p clip is 729,000. Seedance 2.5 uses a higher rate at 1080p, which is why its 1080p price is 2.46 times its 720p price while the others are 2.25 times.
| Model | 480p (496x864) | 720p (720x1280) | 1080p (1080x1920) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini | $1.32 | $2.84 | $6.38 |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | $2.11 | $4.54 | $10.21 |
| Seedance 2.0 | $2.64 | $5.67 | $12.76 |
| Seedance 2.5 | $4.04 | $8.67 | $21.33 |
What the table says in practice
- The 480p column is a draft tier for TikTok. It is useful for checking motion and prompt wording at $1.32 to $4.04, but not for an ad file.
- 720p is the lowest tier that passes. The spread there is $2.84 (Mini) to $8.67 (Seedance 2.5), a factor of about three.
- 1080p adds $3.54 on Mini and $12.66 on Seedance 2.5 for 15 seconds. YouTube states that Shorts can be uploaded at a maximum of 1080p, so this is the ceiling for both platforms.
- For 100 test clips at Mini 720p, multiply the single price: 100 x $2.84 = $284.00.
Choosing among the four
All four models take 4 to 15 seconds except Seedance 2.5, which takes 4 to 30. All four list 9:16 in their aspect ratios, and all four accept first and last frame images and reference inputs according to the catalog. So the choice is about price and look, not about whether the ratio or length is available.
A practical order is to draft prompts on Mini at 480p, then spend the 720p price on the take you plan to publish, and only move to Fast, 2.0 or 2.5 when Mini's look is not good enough for the brief.
Before you upload
Check the file, not the label. Import the finished clip, run video inspect, and compare its width and height with 540x960. The Sume docs also say limits differ per model, and GET /v1/videos/models lists the live resolutions, ratios and durations, so confirm there before a large batch.
