A thousand square images
Per-image sell price is ceil(list x 1.25). The 1,000-image columns multiply by 1,000, and the last column adds the platform fee.
| Quality | fal list per image | fal list x 1,000 | Sume sell per image | Sume x 1,000 | Sume with 5.5% fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Low | $0.006 | $6.00 | $0.0075 | $7.50 | $7.91 |
| Medium | $0.053 | $53.00 | $0.06625 | $66.25 | $69.89 |
| High | $0.211 | $211.00 | $0.26375 | $263.75 | $278.26 |
Reading the result
The premium over fal is the x1.25 and then the fee, about 32% in total. High quality is 35 times the price of low (211,000 / 6,000), so quality is the bigger lever. For thumbnails or drafts, low or medium usually shows whether a prompt works before you spend on high. Review images yourself before choosing a tier; this post does not rate quality.
Doing the same for your own mix
Multiply your count of each quality by its sell price, sum, then add 5.5%. The Images API docs list the model ids and options. If you run a batch, check your balance first; a job whose price plus fee exceeds it is refused with a 402 and nothing is charged.
