Do you pay more per second when you ask for a sharper picture? On Sume it depends entirely on the model, and for one of them the answer is no. Rates read 2026-10-07 from the catalog.

Per-second price at each tier, and the top-to-bottom ratio (read 2026-10-07)
ModelLowest tierHighest tierRatio
Wan 3.0$0.0625 (480p)$0.25 (1080p)4x
H3 Max$0.0625 (480p)$0.20 (1080p)3.2x
Gemini Omni Flash 1.1$0.0375 (360p)$0.375 (4K)10x
Kling 3 silent$0.14 (720p)$0.14 (1080p)1x
Seedance 2.5$0.2687 (480p)$1.4216 (1080p)5.3x

What to take from it

Kling 3 is the one to pick at 1080p if price per sharp second is the test: it charges the same at 720p and 1080p. Wan 3.0 at 1080p is $0.25, so Kling silent is cheaper there, but Kling tops out at 15 s per job.

Seedance 2.5 is token-priced, so the ratio is size times duration; the 16:9 figures above come from the Sume estimator for that aspect ratio.
