A hundred 6-second Seedance drafts at 480p cost $52.73 on Seedance 2 Mini, $84.37 on Seedance 2 Fast, $105.46 on Seedance 2.0 and $161.21 on Seedance 2.5, from Sume's catalog. Per clip that is $0.52731, $0.843697, $1.05462 and $1.612063. Mini is one third the price of 2.5 for the same length and resolution.

Seedance rows bill by video tokens, so the formula is (width x height x seconds x 24) / 1024, priced per 1,000 tokens: $0.0070 for Mini, $0.0112 for Fast, $0.0140 for 2.0 and $0.0214 for 2.5, all at provider list before Sume's 1.25 margin. Mini and Fast stop at 720p, so they are the natural draft rows.

Seedance 2.0$0.0140$1.05462$105.46$111.26
Seedance 2.5$0.0214$1.612063$161.21$170.07

The arithmetic

The token count is the same for all four rows, so the price ratio equals the rate ratio. A 6-second 480p clip is 6 x 24 x (pixels per frame) / 1024 tokens. Mini at $0.0070 and 2.5 at $0.0214 gives a ratio of 3.06, and $161.21 / $52.73 = 3.06. Fast is $0.0112 / $0.0070 = 1.6 times Mini.

Multiply the per-clip price by 1.25 only once: the table already includes it. For example 2.0: provider list $0.8437 x 1.25 = $1.0546 per clip, so 100 clips are $105.46.

A draft-to-final plan

If you finish 10 of the 100 on Seedance 2.5 at 720p for 6 seconds ($3.47 each, $34.67), the plan on Mini costs $87.40; on Seedance 2.5 drafts it costs $195.87. Drafting on Mini saves $108.48 for the same final set, as long as a Mini draft predicts the look of a 2.5 final well enough for your brief.

That last condition is a judgment, not a price: different Seedance generations are different models, so a Mini draft does not guarantee the same motion or framing on 2.5. Test the pairing on five prompts before you trust it for a hundred.

Steps

  • Request drafts with resolution: "480p" and duration: 6 on the model you want to test.
  • Keep prompts identical across models so the price is the only variable you change.
  • Promote the winning prompt to 720p on the final model, and re-run only the shots you keep.
  • Read usage.cost on each job to confirm the unit rate.

What the gaps are worth

The cheapest row, mini at $52.73, is less than a third of the Seedance 2.5 row at $161.21: a gap of $108.48 per hundred drafts. Fast versus 2.0 saves $21.09 per hundred. If drafts are only for picking a shot, the mini or fast row is enough, and the 2.5 price is for the finals you keep.

What Sume does not do

No default or routing preset selects seedance-2 or seedance-2-mini now; both stay routable when you request them by id. Sume does not discount drafts and does not guarantee that a cheaper model's draft predicts the final. Rates were read from the repo on 2026-10-08.
