A $1,000 balance buys how many replacement clips: 8s 720p vs 12s 1080p
With $1,000 on Sume you get 100,000 cents of clips: from 413 to 1,666 clips at 8s 720p 9:16, and from 122 to 595 at 12s 1080p, depending on the model.

A $1,000 workspace balance buys between 413 and 1,666 clips of 8 seconds at 720p 9:16 on Sume, and between 122 and 595 clips of 12 seconds at 1080p, depending on the model. The counts below are the balance in cents divided by the per-clip cents, rounded down.
OpenAI removed the Videos API and the sora-2 family on 2026-09-24 with no replacement listed, so a team that used to pay per second of sora-2 now has to price a replacement per clip. Dividing a fixed budget by the catalog price is the fastest way to see how far it goes.
The counts
The two sizes sit at the two ends of a typical library: the short vertical ad and the long full-resolution demo. A model that cannot make a size has no count in that column.
| Model | 8s 720p 9:16, cents | Clips | 12s 1080p, cents | Clips |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| seedance-2-mini | 152 | 657 | 511 | 195 |
| seedance-2-fast | 242 | 413 | 817 | 122 |
| wan-3.0 | 100 | 1,000 | 300 | 333 |
| kling-3, audio off | 112 | 892 | 168 | 595 |
| kling-3, audio on | 168 | 595 | 252 | 396 |
| minimax-h3 (768p; no 1080p) | 60 | 1,666 | n/a (768p max) | n/a |
| gemini-omni-flash-1.1 | 100 | 1,000 | n/a (10 s max) | n/a |
How to read it
At 8 seconds and 720p, minimax-h3 at 60 cents gives 1,666 clips, wan-3.0 and gemini-omni-flash-1.1 at 100 cents give 1,000, and seedance-2-fast at 242 cents gives 413. At 12 seconds and 1080p, kling-3 with audio off at 168 cents gives 595, wan-3.0 at 300 gives 333, and seedance-2-fast at 817 gives 122.
The leftover cents are real. With wan-3.0 at 12 seconds and 1080p, 333 clips cost 99,900 cents and leave 100 cents. That is not enough for another clip of that size, but it would pay for a 480p or a short one.
What is not in these counts
Sume reserves the cost at submit and captures it on completion, and failed jobs release or refund the reservation, so a failed clip does not use up the balance. Reruns do, though: if 10 percent of your prompts get a second take, the first column of counts shrinks by roughly the same share.
Treat the table as a ceiling for planning, and keep a reserve for retakes. For a 402 insufficient_credits, the admission docs point to upgrading the plan or waiting for included usage, so check how your plan funds the balance before you assume $1,000 is available.
